Structure of Foundational Track Courses

Lectures

No prior AP Biology or advanced knowledge is required. The course begins with an introduction to foundational concepts, ensuring that all students are well-prepared for in-depth research.

Guided Group discussions

Interactive classes based on key literature and publications help students identify core questions and demonstrate systematic, scientific approaches to problem-solving. These sessions encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and deeper engagement with the material.

Final Project/Report

As part of the program, students engage in guided scientific projects that offer an opportunity to delve deeper into specific application topics from the wide array covered in the course. These projects enable students to apply their knowledge to real-world problems, fostering practical problem-solving skills.

Students produce deliverables such as detailed reports or presentations, collaborate virtually with peers, and actively engage in critical thinking.
